the kids have been in eugene with amy's parents since saturday. I was out of town for a couple days looking for work and amy was working. I am so excited to see them! I'll be heading to N.E. amy and i were fortunate to make a trip to park city with some new friends to experience the Sundance Film Festival 2009. We had a fantastic group of people staying in a house just outside of downtown Park City. we had many fun filled nights and busy days as some people had work to do, others had movies to see, i had to ski part of one day at Deer Valley. Last weekend, actually a week ago... sawyer started to get the "D" and it lasted nearly five days. Friday Ruby was complaining of her tummy hurting and sure enough she had to throw up and was not to happy about it. well it was a nice weather weekend here in portland this weekend.. the kids and i took advantage of it.. unfortunately amy had to work. fri. night amy and ruby and i had a jam session in the office with our itunes library and visualizer show... saturday after a quick trip to target for a couple items, me and the kids met ken and his kids, ava & nicholos at woodstock park for some play time. good

it's been a while since i've updated this, a week or more... been busy with getting over sickness of all sorts. sawyer was having a couple rough nights so amy took him to the doctor. we had an upper resp. infection and ear infection.... just like his sister ruby had before... so he got some medicine and has rebounded back to the super little man he is. ruby hopefully and seems to be finally over

sawyer started with a step or two on his first birthday, almost more considered a stumble rather than walking... but ever since he has been balancing better and better and now he is taking steps in distance of nearly 3 to 4 feet at a time... before we know it he'll be running around the house chasing his big sister!

today Ruby is 4.5 years old. she is very happy to be four and a half. i cannot believe she is already halfway through year four. soon to be a five year old! many new things to do and explore as a five year old as opposed to a four year old. i'll keep posting the latest happenings. meanwhile, sawyer keeps chugging along at one year old. he is almost so very very close and on the verge of walking..

today i took the kids on a long stroller ride to peninsula park to get some fresh air. we needed it after saturday in the house day of doing laundry etc. it was a real nice day, a bit cool but nothing a blanket can't fix. it can be tiring at times on the weekends when amy is working but i get all the attention from the kids for two solid days,.. other days when momma's home i'm not so lucky since

just a few photos from the end to our first day back in sodak. we stayed in the cottage at the cedar pass lodge. it was an older structure but fit us well. plenty of space for the kids to roam around. i had to drive into Interior, sd for dinner because the rest. at the lodge closed at 330pm for the season hours. i found a little bar and ordered a pizza and a hamburger. Interior is a small town.

we recently spent 11days in south dakota. oct. 11 - 22nd... two main objectives were to goto my grandma ruby's 80th birthday party (which was a surprise for her) and b, to goto and be in my friend mato's wedding to kristi in spearfish. we flew out of pdx at 6am thurs morning and by noon after a stop in salt lake city, we were in rapid city south dakota. the kids traveled very well considering the

so we finally let ruby have her bike knowing she will do what she needs to do when she is to do it. boy does she love the bike!... friday night she did some riding in the driveway and then sat. she rode to the park while sawyer and i walked with her.. sunday she wanted to go to the park again so we did, this time sawyer rode in the stroller... we played at the park a bit, swings, slides, etc...
