weekend update

well we had a busy weekend... i played in a soccer tournament here in portland. same team as last year, the regulators... we entered the div. 3 level again. 2 games saturday, 3 games sunday, 1 game monday! amy had to work sat. & sun. so ruby came to the soccer field with me, rain gear on and bundled up as those days were wet and chilly... some of the wives kept ruby entertained during game time and i thank them very much for helping out... it was good to be able to play in all the games ... speaking of games... we lost the first game,... tough loss... the next games we tied one and won 3 moving us to the championship game monday morning... which we ended up winning 3-2 to repeat our championship from a year ago! i'll post a team photo later when i get it from our coach/manager. after saturday's last game stephen and sosanda had a get together for dinner and drinks.. very fun as usual... lots of kids running around, grubbing bbq and amazing egg rolls! some of us came to the house between game 2 and 3 on sun to get a break from the outside element, plus the us v. latvia game was on to watch... after mondays championship game the erdmanns and rings came over for a bbq.... the weather turned for the better on monday... a really nice day... sunny, warm... perfect for bbq, drinks, friends! we had a round 2 bbq later when our buds the sciullis showed up with some grubbin' chicken to bbq.... i'd try to explain the way ken and paige prepped it but i doubt if i'd get it correct so i'll just say it was shaka good! so it's back to work in the morning... which is ok... after a great weekend of fun with friends... it's easier to get to work and look forward to other days of the same....
