i love this photo. love it love it love it. little brother sawyer looking up to big sister ruby as she starts down the spiral slide. :-) right now it is one of my favorite photos i have taken of them together... nothing posed but just a moment of time in their lives together. this was saturday of a great weekend.... sunday it was much colder and rainy out so we were in the house most of the day... they played so well together... creating an little truck world with car seats and chairs and they were very busy traveling and interacting as they took on diff. roles.
Sawyer loves trains like most boys do. I stumbled upon a train shop in Kirkland, WA last weekend. I was and am amazed at the amount of things they offer and at what prices things are listed at. I never realized having a train hobby had the potential to be so expensive. I thought, "Wow, Sawyer would love this store!" but then realized that his hands would be to busy with some of the items that are quite spendy! I would like to share more train options with him still so maybe we'll find a similar store in the Portland area soon!
getting a good amount of snow for portland. if the wind stops blowing and no freezing rain falls in the morning then i'll take the kids for a sled ride tomorrow. this afternoon i pulled them back and forth a few times in front of the house.... maybe we can do the park tomorrow if it all works out. just a little warmth but no freezing rain and we could build a huge snowman in the front yard.
sawyer will be two on the 18th of december. what an amazing little kid. wears his heart on his sleeve already, smiles with his eyes along with his great little mouth. likes to dance with his arms a swinging and boy o boy does he enjoy his big sister ruby! i usually don't say things like i'm about to: we are so blessed. love you sawyer and ruby..

getting ready around here for christmas and the new year. i am done working at dex.. 11 years of graphics design with freelance on the side, mixed in with a new passion for photography... i'm ready to look for better options and brighter days. i will miss nothing more than some of the friendships i made and look forward to the next few weeks in december as i get things planned out and spend some extra time with my wife and kids.
